GM Bernard Gamsie

Bernard Gamsie, General Manager

Bernard Gamsie garnered 20+ years of experience in Manhattan’s restaurant scene coming to manage iconic restaurants such as Smith & Wollensky, Park Ave’s Seasons, and The View at the Marriott Marquis. Driven by a passion and appreciation for wine, he pursued and completed studies as a sommelier. He was then invited to join the team at Nonna’s to develop the wine and cocktail menu. Now as General Manager, Bernard is delighted to present Westchester with the very best of Italian fare at Nonna Carola.

Philipp Hering, Head Chef

Raised in New York City with a deep appreciation for food, Philipp Hering pursued the culinary arts in NY’s Institute of Culinary Education. After graduating, Philipp went on to work under Jonathan Waxman in his famed restaurant Barbuto, where he solidified his appreciation for California style Italian cuisine. After spending almost, a decade there, ultimately as the head chef, Philipp went on the be the Lead Event Chef at the institute of Culinary Education, taking on the challenges of catering events with chefs like Alex Atala, Geoffrey Zakarian, Marcus Samuelsson, and many others. Philipp hopes to bring all the knowledge and skills that he has acquired in his career to Mamaroneck, where he leads the team of incredible talents to serve the people of Westchester.
